Frequently Asked Questions

How do you price a project?

Projects will generally be quoted at a turnkey price. Based on the uniqueness and/or amount of customization of the project, pricing will consider time and materials for each aspect (design, fabrication, finishing, delivery, and installation), a market value comparison of a comparable furnishing/project (if applicable), and a reasonable contingency/profit factor based on project complexity or risks.

How quickly can I expect to receive my project?

Timing of delivery will depend on project complexity and how many other projects are in the queue. We will generally provide a delivery schedule window (e.g. 1 - 2 weeks for small projects, 1 - 2 months for medium projects, and 3 - 6 months for large projects). We always aim to complete the furnishing within the customer’s desired timing, whenever possible, especially if it is for a special occasion!

What if I have my own design? Can you build it for me?

Yes, Little Way Construction will work with any pictures and/or plans you have. For example, if you find a plan you like for a theme bed on Etsy or another site, we’ll build it and offer you the opportunity for customization. Alternatively, if you have a picture of a similar furnishing/project that you would like replicated, we can start with that base design. In general, the more planning you can provide and less design work on our part results in a lower cost for you.

Can you build something for me and I finish it myself?

Yes. If you would like to be more hands-on with your project, we will consider your involvement in the different aspects of the process including design, fabrication, finishing, delivery and/or installation. This may result in a reduction of the overall project cost. Of course, your health and safety is important to us and must always be a factor when considering your involvement.

What types of projects do you take and not take?

At Little Way Construction, it is important for our team to provide top-quality furnishings and wood-crafted solutions, while not overcommitting our resources. We love bringing to life someone's idea even if it is not something we have done before. So we would love to hear what you have in mind, and we’ll be honest upfront if we don’t think we can deliver it. Examples of small projects include a sign or other wood carving; a medium project might involve a furnishing such as an altar, pew, built-in, or theme bed; and a large project may be a home chapel, playhouse, or a tiny house. We will also accept smaller renovation work, typically associated with the incorporation of a furnishing we provide. LWC does not generally service other typical home renovation (e.g. kitchens and baths) or addition projects. Contact us today to discuss your project.
